    Whats Outside of Work

    Hobbies

Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can outdoors, no matter the season. Whether it's hiking, camping, fishing, or snowboarding, I enjoy activities that get me outside and exploring. Fishing is probably my favorite hobby—my gear stays in my trunk so I'm always ready to stop at a lake or river whenever the opportunity comes up. I enjoy hiking both on my own with my roommate's dog and with friends, and while I'm still improving my snowboarding skills, I never miss a chance to get out on the mountain.

In my late teens and early twenties, I also spent time as a pinup model. It wasn't a career goal as much as it was a creative outlet and a way to become part of a welcoming community. The experience helped me become comfortable meeting new people, communicating confidently, and stepping outside my comfort zone.

Most Saturdays are reserved for spending time with my best friend of 18 years and her two children. We love finding new family activities to do together, and lately we've all become fascinated with geology. Whether we're looking for interesting rocks, exploring new places, or simply spending time outdoors, I value those moments and the curiosity we get to share.

    Travel

I have always had a passion for travel and experiencing new cultures. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to live in several countries, including but not limited to Guam, Japan, Sweden, and Greece, each of which broadened my perspective and strengthened my ability to adapt to new environments. Japan remains my favorite place I've lived because of its rich culture, craftsmanship, and attention to detail—qualities I greatly admire and try to emulate in my own work.

Living in Japan also inspired me to learn the language. I speak Japanese at an intermediate level and can read and write it, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for the culture and its emphasis on continuous improvement and precision.

Although I have only explored a handful of U.S. states so far, I enjoy discovering new places wherever I go. Whether traveling internationally or closer to home, I value learning about different people, landscapes, and ways of life. Exploring the world is one of my greatest passions, and I look forward to continuing that journey throughout my life.
